Which is kind of like stealth mode. I'm hunkered down in my classroom, trying to make sure I start this school year off on just the right foot. I'll see all your lovely words (not faces because that might be a little stalkerish) on Friday.
Ah, the beginning of the school year, I miss that :) After taking nine years off, I'm back to subbing so I don't get to prep a room, plan a month at a time, label a million and ten objects. Good luck with the start to hopefully a wonderful year :)
I just signed up for the GUTGAA pitch conference and thought I would go ahead and check out some more blogs. I am now a faithful follower...nice to meet you!

Our kids went back on Wednesday as well. 11-year-old started high school. Ah, they grow up so fast! I can only imagine how much behind the scenes stuff teachers have to do, good luck with it all.
Good luck with the beginning of this school year! My wife is a teacher, so I definitely understand when you say "teacher mode." She starts back on Monday. I hope you do get off on the right foot.

Have an interesting, terrific school year! I always loved the firs day of school. . .a new beginning and new challenges. And I miss teaching.
Always check your comments, Natalie--first day not firs day :)
I start Tuesday. Until then, I don't want to think about it. 'Cause once you start, it gets into your head!
Still furiously hunkered over my WIP for the time being.
Have fun getting ready for school!!! You should take a picture of your very excited students on that first day, lol.
Always fun to start the beginning of the year. Here's to a great school year! :D
Good luck with the new school year! I crossing my fingers that all your lesson plans go smoothly :)

I have to go into my school office tomorrow and do some work. I want a few more months of summer. Like 12 or so.
I'm actually anxious for the first day - in spite of my moaning and groaning, I miss the kids. (Plus, I'm sick of yard work and stinging insects.)
Have a great school year! I have a couple of friends and a niece who are all teachers, so they will be in their classrooms soon, to get them set up.
