A to Z - Excuses

I normally don't like excuses. But sometimes....

I spent entirely too long trying to come up with an X topic - I looked for titles that start with excuse, exemplary, exclaim, example, ten (because the Roman numeral is X), cross (x stands for it in some situations), and kiss (xoxo).

I got nothing.

So if you can think of a book that has one of these in the title, please share in the comments!

And there's the end of my excuses. :)

Well it is a difficult letter,

You are excused!

I did a Goodreads search (cheating) and came up with Just Married, Please Excuse by Yashodhara Lal. It does look like women's fiction too.

I see what you did there...

Reminds me of what Scott Muni, legendary disc jockey at WNEW-FM did when they were doing an 'A-Z Weekend' (playing artists alphabetically by name). They did a song by the Who for W. When the song was over, Muni says, in his gravelly voice: "X. Extra Who!" and spun another record from the Who.

I pulled up a lot of books at Amazon that start with X, but many were comic books. Probably not what you were seeking!

I cannot think of any books with x or ex. Sorry I'm of no help. I am going to read your 'w' post, though. :)

I can't come up with a thing.

Understandable! I cheated with my letter X and used a word X was in. :) Oops? X is hard - that's my excuse!

Don't think I've read any books with X in them. Doing book titles was a tough one... For me, Y was the hardest letter, only just did it, so it's waiting for tomorrow (whew!)

I found a couple of books at Amazon with title characters named Xanthe (one of my favorite X names), like Xanthe and the Robots and Xanthe's Pyramid. I also found some Xavier books, like Xavier's Way and The Scrolls of Xavier. I love getting a chance to use an X name or word, since it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

Hmm... tough one. Can't think of anything but titles related to Xman. Hope that helps ... somewhat. :)
